They are very far-famed in creating their own style and comfort in wearing. One of the most noticeable apparel is the ‘Bape Sta’, which is a shoe that is very close and resembling to that of Nike Air Force One. The logo and themes of Bape is derived from the original movie ‘Planet of the Apes’. A Bape is very famous for its limited-edition hip-hop-themed vinyl figures.

A Bathing Ape was established in the year 1993 by DJ Nigo. He started his business by selling T-shirts out of a small store in place called Harajuku in Japan. The store was known as Nowhere Increase. The company started making profint and then as it grew, he opened more stores. Pharrell also helped Nigo to produce Bape adding this collection to the Billionaire Boys Club. Eventually, a line owned and created by Pharrell called Ice Cream Footwear was introduced and it soon became famous.
Recently, in the year 2007, Kanye West collaborated with a Bathing Ape to manufacture his own footwear. The footwear’s quality would outstanding, its exclusivity attracted some people to make fake pairs, and they were sold online. Many small websites sold fake pairs of shoes labeled and imitated as original ones. it was a threat to the company and hence there was an appeal from them that the footwear should be purchased only from authorized dealer or official Bape stores which are located in New York, London, Hong Kong and many other places in Japan.
